Windows OS in A Phone

Nope its not a Windows Mobile, not Vista not XP not even 98.(click link below for pics and full story)

Its Windows 3.1! The OS that made Microsoft what it is today has been ported to run on Symbian OS. How? Via DOSBox, it has been available for quite sometime but only recently have we seen it run on a Nokia N95. Some Polish dude was brave enough to do this. Hmmm makes me jealous, now to find someone who knows Polish so that we can duplicate what he did.

And They Let Us Buy Alcohol Only When We Are 18

Glen gave me a heads up of this yesterday. Just when you thought that kids will always be kids you'll get hit by surprises like this.(click link below for story)

Alfie Patten is just 13 years old barely in his pubescence but have conceived a child with 15 year old Chantelle Steadman. This has caused an uproar worldwide especially the question of whether little Alfie is indeed the father of Maisie Roxanne.

Sister Talks

According to Alfie's step sister: “If it wasn’t for him, Alfie wouldn’t be in this situation. When Dad left it tore the family to pieces." (This in reference to the departure of their father for a 19-year-old friend of his stepdaughter)

"He’s good around kids and he always used to try and help out." She also said in a positive light.

Well as long as they be responsible parents and be a positive role model to their baby I'm all for it(if the story is indeed true).

Can Omnia HD Make Iphone Bleed?

Click link below for full story

The original Omnia was a beacon of multi-media goodness, would the additional HD on its new sibling dethrone the Apple Iphone. This time, good old Samsung is ditching Windows Mobile for the unproven Symbian Series 60 5th Edition(I'm pretty sure that the problems related to the OS would be resolved by a firmware upgrade.) If you don't mind not experiencing the brand spanking new Windows Mobile 6.5 then the Omnia HD would be a perfect phone for you. Why? because the monster can play 720p videos(hence the HD name!). For a look on how the phone looks and runs watch the video above.

Specs:
* GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS 900/1900/2100 MHz, GPRS/EDGE class 12, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps
* Dimensions: 123 x 58 x 12.9 mm
* 3.7-inch 16M color OLED touchscreen, 640 x 360 pixels
* 8/16GB integrated memory, non-hot-swappable microSD card slot (up to 16GB)
* OS: Symbian S60 5th edition
* 8 megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash, geo-tagging, Face detection, Smile Shot, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and HD video recording at 24 fps
* Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, standard microUSB port, GPS receiver with A-GPS and optional Samsung Mobile Navigator by Route66, HDMI (dongle needed)
* Accelerometer for screen auto rotate, Proximity sensor for auto screen turn-off, FM radio with RDS, DivX/XviD video support

New Simpsons Opening Clip

Who does not love the Simpsons? If you don't I hate you man! The animated series has been going for more 20 or so years now and it does not show signs of faltering. To go with the changing times(and the mandated change to digital signals) the show is now on high def! To blend with high def, the opening sequence has been changed and it was a great change. They have added and updated the characters shown in the sequence from the Comic Book Guy to Apu's octuplets. This has been a welcome change for the Simpsons fan in all of us(most of it is just me, heck I even bought the Simpson's album during the 90s).

Old or New?

Hey guys! Which is better the new Devastator or the old one? Although the old one looks sleek and intimidating the new one is just plain scary. Remember the Transformers 2 trailer where Optimus was fighting a huge Decepticon? Now imagine if him and 4 of his friends merge into a freak of All Spark. You will get a gorilla like creature capable of mass destruction. Watch out for the fugly Devastator in the up coming Transformers 2 Revenge of The Fallen.

Fans of social networking sites would love this site! They can edit their photos and insert them into real life images. This site is not limited to Facebook addicts though everyone will enjoy the coolness of putting their image in a billboard even if it is not real. Leeched some samples from Glen's site for you guys to see the awesome things Photofunia can do. Click the link below on instructions on how to do it and another sample pic of Glen's scruffy mug.

According to Glen:
